Our book in English, FTTx – Principles, Technologies and Installation Solutions is intended as an introduction to FTTx technologies and solutions for interested professionals as well as students. The book concentrates on the practical aspects of this rapidly growing field. The basic optical transmission theory is discussed on the level needed for the readers to understand the fundamentals of optical fibre cables and components. High emphasis is also put on network planning, installation and documentation as they are essential matters for the network to be easily maintained and upgraded for future needs.
