Sustainability has been a core value in our company for years, and reducing the environmental impact of our operations is important to us. We are continuously improving our processes, actively seeking solutions to lower our carbon footprint. Our latest step on this journey has been a major upgrade to the lighting in our production facilities and factory. 

We have transitioned to using new energy-efficient LED lighting and advanced lighting control systems, which have brought concrete savings in both energy consumption and costs. Thanks to the lighting upgrade, we have managed to reduce the amount of energy consumed by lighting by approximately 16% compared to previous levels. This translates to an annual energy savings of about 80,000 kWh—equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of roughly 18 average households.

Why is lighting an important part of responsible production? 

Although lighting accounts for a relatively small portion of total energy consumption in the factory, it plays a significant role in the overall system. Modernizing the lighting in production and factory spaces not only reduces energy consumption but also decreases maintenance needs. LED lights are long-lasting and require less maintenance, which in turn minimizes downtime and results in long-term cost savings.

Moreover, the improved lighting enhances safety and working conditions. The new lighting system is specifically designed to meet the demands of production facilities and to improve visibility in critical work areas. This helps our employees perform their tasks more efficiently and, above all, more safely. The new lighting considers glare prevention and general comfort in our facilities. Additionally, the lighting’s color temperature has been optimized to be as natural as possible.

The lighting upgrade is part of a broader sustainability program aimed at reducing carbon emissions and creating more environmentally friendly production processes. We will continue to take actions that support more sustainable and eco-friendly production in the future—whether it involves improving energy efficiency, enhancing recycling, or fostering the overall well-being of our staff.
