The weather at the end of the year has been warmer than usual, allowing fiber optic network construction to continue a bit longer than normal. However, as Christmas approaches, temperatures seem to be dropping below freezing, which is, in a way, a good thing. Hopefully, we’ll have a white Christmas this year. 

The construction of fiber optic networks has continued at a strong pace in Finland, and our factories in Finland and Estonia have been busy, particularly during the spring and summer months. As is typical in Northern Europe, building fiber networks becomes more challenging and slows down during the winter months due to the forces of nature. In Central and Southern Europe, however, network construction is generally possible even during the coldest months. This is why, in recent years, we have increasingly focused on the markets of Southern Europe, with great success.

During the quieter end-of-year and early winter period, we focus on developing and testing both new and existing products. At the same time, we refine and enhance the efficiency and capacity of production at our factories. Come January, we’ll be ready to begin the new operational year stronger than ever.

Nestor has made donations to Save the Children Finland and emergency aid for Ukraine, and we hope you will also remember Ukrainians, especially during this Christmas season.
